DWService is an open source project which offers a service that allows access to remote systems (Windows, Mac, Linux, Raspberry...) using a standard web browser - without any component required on the client side.
Wherever you may be in the world, you may need to access your home computer, you can start the web browser from any device to connect to DWService website and immediately gain control of the computer (Screen + Files + Running processes).
Applications are specific features that allow you to interact with the remote system. These applications can differ depending on the type of system where you installed the DWAgent.
The available applications are the following:
It allows you to get full control of the remote system by displaying its screen, and being able to operate with the mouse and the keyboard of the local system. You can also choose to share the remote system with other users, even partially, by preventing the use of the mouse and the keyboard if necessary.
Files and Folders
It allows you to fully control the file system of the remote system also offering the ability to download and upload any file. You can also choose to share folders with other users by defining in detail the operations to which each of them is authorized (read only, edit, download, upload, or all). Depending on the type of file some operations can be performed without the downloading of the file (eg. A text file can be edited directly through the application "Text editor").
It allows you to monitor the status of the remote system getting information about memory, processors, disks, processes and services allowing you to perform some operations such as start/stop services, terminate processes, etc.
It allows you to start a terminal session on the remote system.
It allows you to view and edit a text file.
It allows you to display a log file automatically updated.
